Kimberley Mining Railway
Miners will tell you that mining is more than just a job – it’s a way of life. Adventure and tragedy, friends and colleagues, good times and bad times, are all a part of a mining town’s history.
Kimberley’s famous Sullivan Mine was one of the richest lead-zinc mines in the world, and it has a suitably storied history. The Kimberley Underground Mining Railway offers a unique opportunity to step right into that history first-hand.
Take a mining tour, ride the rails, learn about life as a miner – from a miner! – at the Underground Interpretive Centre. You’ll even see real mining equipment in action.
The Kimberley Underground Mining Railway is open from late May through Labour Day Weekend. Visit the Kimberley Underground Mining Railway website for more information.
