Bike & Skateboard Park

Want big air? Don’t just hang out at City Hall, be sure to check out The Bob McWhinnie Skate Park and Mountain Bike Skills Park. The Park offers varied terrain for testing your skills on four wheels or two – unique, interactive, and dynamic! Seating and viewing areas around the two connected parks make a great meeting place for users of Kimberley’s many trails, like the nearby Mark Creek Trail and NorthStar Rails to Trails.

Location

The Skate Park and Mountain Bike Skills Park are located at the corner of Rotary Drive and Marsden Street, and are open from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm. They are easily accessible from downtown, and there is ample parking available for park and trail users. There is no charge for park use or parking.

Park Rules

Please note that these parks are unsupervised, and users do so at their own risk. The City of Kimberley does not assume any liability for injury to participants or spectators.

Please help keep the park clean and free of graffiti and litter.

Safety

Skateboarding is a high-risk activity that can result in injury. The use of protective gear – helmets, wrist guards, and elbow and knee pads – is strongly recommended.

Park Etiquette:

  • Take turns and allow everyone to use the park.
  • Don't linger in riding areas.
  • Give slower and smaller riders the right of way.
  • Respect the park, grounds, and other users. No littering, graffiti or bad language, please.
  • The skatepark surface can be slippery when wet, icy, or covered with leaves or needles. Use at this time is not recommended.
