Public Auctions

The City of Kimberley holds public auctions to dispose of assets that have outlived their useful life with the City. When an item is available for auction, the City will place a notice on the City website under the “Latest News” section on the right of the home page, and will list the item on the BC Auction website, www.bcauction.ca.  Each item listing includes contact information, so that bidders can arrange to view the asset.

The BC Auction service is available free of charge for bidders.  Bidders must first register, which requires only basic information.  BC Auction is part of a business group within the British Columbia Government that assists Provincial Government, Crown Corporations, Municipalities, School Districts and Health Authorities with selling assets.  It has been in operation since 2004 and offers real time on-line bidding and has over 35,000 registered bidders.
