City to Host Online Volunteer Recruitment Portal

Posted:

The City of Kimberley is excited to introduce VolunteerConnector – an online volunteer recruitment site that will help local organizations find volunteers to support their programs, projects or events and help volunteers find meaningful opportunities in our community.

In conjunction with the launch, Katie Dodd, Volunteer and Community Engagement Manager with VolunteerConnector, will be hosting a webinar for Kimberley organizations to walk them through the sign-up process on the site and to help them begin recruiting volunteers quickly and efficiently.

The Zoom session will be held on March 17th at 3:00 p.m. Anyone interested in seeking volunteers is welcome to attend. Please RSVP to communications@kimberley.ca and Zoom details will be sent to you.

Dodd, who grew up in Kimberley, is very proud of the platform and all of the good it is doing in Western Canada. “It’s such a fantastic tool for local organizations. The platform provides communities with a central location for all their volunteer needs.  It doesn’t matter if you are looking for someone for an hour, a day, a week, or a year, you can post any opportunity that you need help with and get help fast. I think that’s a great thing.”

This is a free service for both organizations and volunteers. Organizations that wish to sign up now can do so at www.volunteerconnector.org/organizations/login.
