Culture
With a natural setting this inspiring, it’s no wonder that so many creative folks like to call Kimberley home. Our amazing local talent includes world-class writers, photographers and visual artists, talented performers, unique artisans – plus an enthusiastic community of amateur artists of all kinds!
Put all these together and we’ve got a thriving, engaging arts and cultural scene year-round. Kimberley’s theatres host everything from one-person shows to full-scale musicals thanks to the Kimberley Arts Council. Music lovers can enjoy live performances by local and even international touring artists at local festivals, Centre 64, McKim Theatre, and – for those in the know – intimate house concerts. The Gallery at Centre 64 boasts monthly exhibits featuring the work of professional artists, local students, regional showcases, and much more.
History buffs can experience Kimberley’s mining heritage firsthand through the Kimberley Underground Mining Railway, and meet the characters that have made this town special at the Kimberley Heritage Museum.
