KIMBERLEY, BC – At 8:06 a.m. this morning, the Kimberley Fire Department responded to a call from Selkirk Secondary School at 405 Halpin Street for a structural fire. The Fire Department Command Unit was first to arrive and downgraded the alarm to an electrical fire in the school gymnasium. Firefighters on scene ensured that the fire did not spread to the structure of the building.

KIMBERLEY, BC – Kimberley City Council will be conducting its August 12th meeting in the Golden Room at Garden View Village – 280 – 4th Avenue in Townsite. In consideration of those that may not have the ability to come to Council Chambers, Council has decided to host the meeting at the Senior’s facility.
BA Blacktop, contracted paver for the 4th Avenue project, has scheduled removal of the remaining pavement at the 4th Avenue Rehabilitation Project site. Equipment will arrive on July 31st and work is expected to continue until Friday, August 2nd. This work is being done to prepare the road base for reconstruction and paving.
