Kimberley First Saturday is an annual FREE Family-Friendly celebration of Arts/Culture/Heritage on the first Saturday of each month from July to October!

Join Our amazing Volunteer Team on September 7th and October 5th.

Kimberley First Saturday is a great way to give back and support our community by making a very small commitment of your time. We are a completely volunteer-run event, and there are a ton of different opportunities to get involved. We are happy to have volunteers of all ages and abilities.

Our volunteer positions are designed to allow you to choose different times/days/activities – we are happy to have you help even just one time! Every little bit makes a difference. Check out some of the volunteer opportunities below and give us a shout.
Email: kimberleyfirstsaturday@gmail.com or call/text: (250) 432-5726

Setup and Takedown Crew Shifts - 9-11am and 4-5pm.
This is somewhat physically demanding; set-up and take-down require volunteers to move around and set up/take down tables, chairs, tents, etc. We also need help with tablecloths and balloons, less physically demanding.

Ambassadors Shifts: 1.5-2hrs between 12-4pm.
Ambassadors provide a key role in connecting with the visitors to the Platzl. Volunteers greet and distribute information on the day’s activities.

Gate Security/Greeters Shifts: 1.5-2hrs during evening concerts and Oktoberfest. Volunteers will greet concert goers, oversee donations, monitor/control access to the event site – entry and exit from the concert venue, ensure no outside alcohol is brought into the concert and no
alcohol leaves the venue. Must be at least 19 years of age.

Other Positions:
There are always lots of other things to do including organizational help if you’d like to get even more involved.

Kimberley Nordic Club - Work Party! Sept 7, 2024

The Skookumchuck Pulp Mill donated wood chips to the KNC, and we need your help spreading them out on our trails to get the trails ready for winter!

The work party will be held on Saturday, September 7th, from 9:00am-1:00pm. Here is the sign up link. Please register for each member of your household who plans to attend. As well, once registered, please email Anna, KNC's program administrator, at programs@kimberleynordic.org, to let her know if you are bringing any tools with you. Helpful tools include a truck, utility trailer, and hand tools such as shovels and rakes. If you are just bringing yourself that's great too!
